Steffen Höld
Geboren 1969 in Ulm, absolvierte Steffen Höld ein Regie- und Schauspielstudium am Mozarteum Salzburg. Engagements als Schauspieler führten ihn u. a. an das Schauspiel Köln, an das Staatstheater Nürnberg und an das Theater Rampe Stuttgart, wo er u. a. mit Thirza Bruncken und Christoph Schlingensief arbeitete. Anschließend war er zuerst Ensemblemitglied am Schauspielhaus Graz, danach am Phönix Theater in Linz sowie von 2007 bis 2015 am Schauspielhaus in Wien und arbeitete dort u. a. mit Felicitas Brucker und Barbara Weber. Eigene Regiearbeiten inszenierte er u. a. am Phönix Theater Linz, am Schauspielhaus Salzburg sowie an der Garage X in Wien und am Schauspielhaus Wien. 2015 wechselte er an das Theater Basel, wo er als Ensemblemitglied u. a. mit Nora Schlocker, Julia Hölscher, Tilmann Köhler, Felicitas Brucker, Thom Luz und Antonio Latella arbeitete sowie eigene Inszenierungen realisierte. 2019 folgte er Andreas Beck ans Residenztheater.

In this research project, the Residenztheater, one of the oldest German theatres, examines a dark chapter in its own history.
